Symptoms:




Smarts SAM Presentation Layer is not synchronizing with Aggregation Layers
There is no queuing between Smarts SAM Presentation Layer and Aggregation Layers, but the same number of events are not being displayed in the Global Console

Environment

Cause

When a user acknowledges notification and takes ownership in the Presentation SAM layer only, these attributes do not get propagated to the Aggregation SAM layer. This is because there is a custom filter in the Presentation SAM layer that has filtered out some of the notifications.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, acknowledge the notifications in the Aggregation SAM layer. The changes will then be propagated on to Presentation SAM.

Additional Information

This behavior has been changed in Smarts SAM 8.0, so that any acknowledgement and taking ownership in the Presentation layer will automatically propagated on to the Aggregation layer.
