Existing SAM notifications are not propagating to BIM

Issue/Introduction

• Existing Smarts SAM notifications not propagating to Smarts BIM.

• Smarts SAM Business Impact Manager (Smarts BIM) is not showing impacts on devices even though notifications are active.

Environment

All supported releases of Smart

Cause

Smarts BIM objects are calculated at the time that the notification is received by Smarts SAM. If Smarts BIM objects/groups are created after an event is received, no impacts will be calculated those existing events but only for those subsequently received.

Resolution

To recalculate BIM events so that existing notifications will show impacts on devices, run the following command:
