How do you enable debug logging for the Smarts Syslog adapter?

Problem in the Smarts Syslog adapter and the regular logs are not providing enough information

Resolution

To enable debug logging for the Smarts Syslog adapter, you do either of the following:

• Add the following switch to the sm_adapter startup command: --traceServer
• Switch on debugging of the actual parser file that the syslog adapter uses in the syslog_mgr.asl as follows:
  
  default debug = TRUE;
  
  In the syslog_mgr.asl file you can see what will be written in debug mode by searching for "if (debug)".
