error: DSCV-W-'ic-iftable: ifTable' probe of <device_name>    failed
Device not properly discovered

SMARTS - All supported releases

Cause

This indicates that the ifTable cannot be probed on <device_name>.

Resolution

While unusual, this might be a valid SNMP implementation.  However, since Smarts discovery relies on MIB-II (and the system group in particular), it will be incomplete for this device.

Please contact the device vendor to request a SNMP agent update.
