How to check the version of Smarts IP currently installed

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Resolution

  1. To determine the version of your Smarts server, first change to the bin directory of your installation for the IP suite
    <BASEDIR>/IP/smarts/bin
  2. Execute the following command which will return the version:
    ./sm_server version

A line will appear like the following:  V6.2(49069), 07-Oct-2004 02:31:32 - SmartPack 1, Build 6267
