Symptoms:




Smarts shows the interface oper status as DOWN, yet the device shows the oper status as UP.

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

When the interface was last polled, it had an oper status of DOWN.  Since then the interface changed to UP, which explains the difference in status.

Resolution

Wait for the next polling cycle, which will get the status of UP and reflect that in the topology.
