Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:




Smarts services will not start when calling sm_service start command in Unix environment
Error msg: <SYS>-ECONNREFUSED-Connection refused

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

This issue is known to occur when the ic-serviced daemon in /etc/init.d/ is not running for some reason.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, ensure that the ic-serviced daemon is running in the Smarts installation environment.
