What are the PROPERTY_ACCEPT, PROPERTY_REJECT and PROPERTY_SUSPEND messages in Smarts property subscriptions and what do they mean?

Smarts property ACCEPT, REJECT and SUSPEND messages are the control messages for monitoring events that indicate the status of a Smarts property subscription. These messages mean the following:
  • PROPERTY_ACCEPT: The subscription for a property is accepted.

  • PROPERTY_REJECT: The property cannot be subscribed to because of some error.

  • PROPERTY_SUSPEND: The property monitoring is suspended, typically because there was some error in obtaining the value.

These messages can be turned off or on using flags while subscribing. See the Smarts sm_adapter --help for the command syntax required to use these flags.
