Symptoms:




Cannot place Smarts MPLS LSP Objects "InMaintenance" in the Smarts SAM console
No option is available to place MPLS LSP Objects InMaintenance from within the Smarts Global Console

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

The object is not eligible to be placed into InMaintenance mode. For an object to be eligible, the object must be one of the following:

• UnitaryComputerSystemInstance object
• ICIMServiceConnectionInstance object
• Child Class Of SoftwareService
• Child Class Of NetworkConnection

Objects that are not one of these object types are not eligible to be placed into InMaintenance mode.

Resolution

Check if the desired object is one of the above object types. If it is not, it cannot be placed into InMaintenance mode.
