Can the Smarts Service Assurance Manager (Smarts SAM) email notification adapter be configured to send e-mails to the specific port of the smtp-server?

Resolution

Yes you can configure the Smarts SAM mail notification adapter to send e-mails to the specific port on the snmtp-server.  To do this, set the "MailServer" attribute as <host>:<port> n the mail notifier configuration file (where host can be the hostname or IP address).

If you are specifying an IPv6 literal address, enclose the host part within square brackets: [IPv6 Address]:<port>
