How do I disable SeLinux so that I can deploy VoyenceControl?

Cannot deploy VoyenceControl
SeLinux is enabled

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - NCM

Cause

VoyenceControl will not deploy correctly if SeLinux is enabled.

Resolution

To disable SeLinux so that you can deploy VoyenceControl, do the following:

  1. Open the /etc/sysconfig/selinux file for editing in an appropriate editor.
  2. Change the SELINUX=enforcing parameter to SELINUX=disabled.
  3. Save and close the file.
  4. Reboot the server.
  5. Verify that SeLinux is disabled by typing "sestatus".
