Cause

Smarts NCM does not support editing multiple startup configs at a time for multiple devices.

Resolution

Find/replace functionality for multiple devices can be acheived by using the Automation Library (AL) functionality in Smarts NCM. This is done by creating a new pattern with a new policy/standards/test under AL:

1. In Smarts NCM, select New test > Rule > Pattern and Remedy.
2. In the standard, select Manage configurations > device groups.
3. Create a pattern and remedy under tests.
4. Apply the test to a policy and enforce the policy to multiple devices. 

Additional Information

Using find/replace a word function will not work with AL as AL is restricted to use patterns. See Smarts NCM Help system content for more information about using standards and test when a policy is created under AL.
