The VoyenceControl sysadmin account has become locked
No other administrator account exists to unlock the sysadmin account for VoyenceControl

The VoyenceControl sysadmin console password has been lost

Environment

NCM 10.x

Resolution

There are two methods for resetting the VoyenceControl sysadmin account back to the default of user/password credentials of sysadmin/sysadmin.

Using the system management console to reset the account
To reset the sysadmin account using the system management console, do the following:

  1. Log into the system management console server using the following link (see Note statements):

    http://<yourserver>:8080/SysAdmin

  2. Once logged in, click on the Admin tab and select the Reset Admin User button.  This will reset the username to sysadmin and the password to sysadmin.

Using the jmx-console to reset the account
To reset the sysadmin account using the jmx-console, do the following:

  1. Log into the jmx-console server using the following link (see Note statement):

    http://<yourserver>:8881/jmx-console

  2. Search for service=SecurityService and click on it to open the selection.
  3. Find the section named void resetMasterAdminUser() and click Invoke.
