"The application is disabled until you configure the authentication provider." Error when opening the vRO Monitoring Client

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
When opening the vRO Monitoring Client you receive an error The application is disabled until you configure the authentication provider.

Environment

VMware vRealize Automation 7.5.x
VMware vRealize Automation 7.6.x
VMware vRealize Automation 7.4.x
VMware vRealize Orchestrator 7.4.x
VMware vRealize Orchestrator 7.5.x
VMware vRealize Orchestrator 7.6.x

Cause

The setting config.auth.profiles  in /etc/vco/configuration/controlcenter.properties is not populated or misconfigured.

Resolution

Before proceeding, ensure that valid backups or snapshots are available. 

Perform the below on each vRO appliance participating in the cluster:

1. Edit the file /etc/vco/configuration/controlcenter.properties

vRA Authentication:

config.auth.profiles = sso_configured,horizon

vSphere Authentication:

config.auth.profiles = sso_configured,cm

2. Save the changes and then execute the following command

   /var/lib/vco/tools/configuration-cli/bin/vro-configure.sh controlcenter-update

3. Restart the ControlCenter service:

   service vco-configurator restart
