Issue/Introduction

Disabling the secondary NIC in the guest OS prevents searching with the primary IP

Most deployed VMs have two virtual NICs, and the customer cannot search for them by primary IP in the vSphere client.

Resolution

Please use below steps to search with both primary/secondary IP

1.Click on vCenter > VMs > select IP Address

Search with primary/secondary IP at the vcenter object level instead of vcenter global search

Click on vcenter > VMs > search

Solution:
Search with primary/secondary IP at the vCenter object level instead of vCenter global search
