[VMC on AWS] vCenter Linking via SDDC Group fails with error "Target VC needs clean up after previous eviction"

Issue/Introduction

To inform and provide a resolution for the customer.

Symptoms:
Customer is on SDDC version 1.20 or 1.22.
 
When attempting to link Cloud vCenters in an SDDC Group, the vCenter Linking status fails with the error [{args=[], default_message=Target VC needs clean up after previous eviction, id=community.error.incomplete.evict}]

Cause

This is currently a known issue for the impacted SDDC versions. It is suspected that this may be due to java classpath issues, potentially addressed in an upcoming service refactor that feeds into HLM.

Resolution

1. Ensure that all prerequisites are met in - Use vCenter Linking in an SDDC Group
2. Please create a Support Request with VMC Global Support to investigate and remediate the known issue.

Additional Information

Impact/Risks:
Customers will be blocked from managing combined vCenter inventories. Individual vCenter management is unaffected.
