Issue/Introduction

1 Enable vSphere HA for a cluster failed

2 From vCenter Server vmware-vum-server log in /var/log/vmware/vmware-updatemgr/vum-server, you will see error similar like,

<Date-Time> error vmware-vum-server[00351] [Originator@6876 sub=ClusterApplyHATask] [Task, 457] Task:com.vmware.vcIntegrity.lifecycle.ClusterApplyHATask ID:<UUID>. Host HA apply task(<UUID>) failed on host(host-2016) with error:Error:

--> Messages:

-->  com.vmware.vcIntegrity.lifecycle.EsxImage.MissingVibError<Cannot find metadata for VIB(s) Marvell_bootbank_qlnativefc_4.1.14.0-1OEM.700.1.0.15843807 in database or depot.>

Resolution

Make sure the ESXi host is compliant to the image you set for the cluster.
