Issue/Introduction

After installing CA Spectrum 10.0 and either reconfiguring or rediscovering your Cisco Nexus (NXOS) 7000 models, vPC functionality is still not showing up in CA Spectrum vPC Manager.

Environment

Release:
Component: SPCDIS

Resolution

Verify that your Cisco Nexus 7000 device is running firmware version 6.2.2 and up.  If not, you will not see the vPC functionality as Cisco supports the CiscoVpcMIB starting with firmware 6.2.2.

CA Spectrum utilizes the CiscoVpcMIB and queries the device's cVPCRoleStatus (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.807.1.2.1.1.1) attribute. If the device responds with a value to this query, then CA Spectrum creates a CiscoVPCApp model and reads the rest of the CiscoVpcMIB table to utilize the vPC information.  If the device does not respond to this query, then CA Spectrum believes the device is not configured to utilize vPC functionality.   In firmware versions prior to 6.2.2 the Nexus device will not respond to a query of this mib attribute.
