Issue/Introduction

Description:

At system IPL, the following messages are witnessed:

*CAMS100I CAMASTER INITIALIZATION IN PROGRESS 

*CAMS305E Dynamic LPA request for CAMSCRGR failed; RC=x'00000008' 

RSN=x'00000004'; SRC=x'00000004' SRSN=x'00000000'

 

Solution:

This problem has been tracked back to bad PTF RO78314 which was published March 19, 2015.

As of March 26, 2015 this PTF has been marked PE, and a corrective fix will be made available as soon as possible.

The good news is that is does not impact the overall startup or functionality of CAMASTER and everything else on the system is unaffected. Aside from the message there is no identified impact to the system.

 

This PTF prepares CAMASTER for a new service (Common Logger) that is not yet available.

 

* As of March 30, 2105 *  Corrective solution RO79758 is now available for download.
