Issue/Introduction

During Database Management Solutions for Db2 for z/OS Post Install ssid0000 Compare execution noted warning message:
RMA775W FULLTREE processing mode active, reason=PARMLIB.

What does this warning message indicate?
Is there a CDBAPARM member that requires updating to remove this message?

Resolution

The following is the panel help description for the FULLTREE option that may be within MIGRATOR member of CDBAPARM:

Field: Use FULLTREE build?

Description: Indicate whether to use the full tree build
process for migration and alter strategies.

Values: Y (Default) Yes, use full tree structure for all
strategies.

N No, use a limited tree structure for migrate and
alter strategies. This limits the use of storage
required by RC/Migrator to complete its work and
reduces the time it takes to traverse the tree
structure. Large resource savings can be gained by
specifying NO for this parameter.

Recommendation would be to use the default of YES either by default or specific inclusion of the FULLTREE setting in the MIGRATOR
member unless otherwise instructed by support. This is the reason for the warning message which is benign and can be ignored.
