Issue/Introduction

Packaging java buildpack v4.55+ in Windows env and pushing apps with it results in failure with error

   Exit status 223

Environment

Product Version: 2.11

Resolution

Java buildpack v4.55+ replace most bin/ scripts with symlinks which are not being read properly in pure Windows systems. 

Installing Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)  or using a Linux VM to package the java buildpack solves the issue.
