TAP on Minikube cannot survive multiple reboots.

Issue/Introduction

Currently TAP on Minikube cannot survive multiple reboots.

Procedure:
Used minikube stop. Then, used minikube start to restart the VM and waited for TAP to become active again. Used tanzu apps workload create with sample 'tanzu-java-web-app'.
Result - see attached screenshot. MissingValueAtPath with imagebuilder state 'unknown'.


The problem is the cluster builders not coming back up in a good state. See the attached screenshot.

Resolution

Re-installation of TAP the only known corrective action after minikube reboot.

minikube start
tanzu package installed delete tap --namespace tap-install
tanzu package install tap -p tap.tanzu.vmware.com -v $TAP_VERSION --values-file tap-values.yaml --namespace tap-install

So we strongly suggest you do not use minikube into product environment.
