Issue/Introduction
Tanzu by Broadcom is streamlining and simplifying its portfolio of product offerings and bundles. As part of this simplification, the Tanzu Application Service (TAS) per Core metric SKUs are being retired. Tanzu Application Service customers currently using the core-based SKU will need to migrate to the Application Instance (AI) based SKU on their next renewal.
Tanzu Application Service customers already utilizing the Application Instance-based license model are not affected.
Resolution
If you are an existing customer and have purchased the below End of Availability SKUs, but are not up for renewal there is no immediate action required at this time and Tanzu will continue to offer active support through the duration of your Support contract. In the future, at the time of renewal, you will benefit from new AI-based licensing offerings that best fit your needs. Your Tanzu Account team will assist in converting per-core licenses to the necessary number of Application Instance (AI) licenses required.
