Does VMware support Java Mission Control (JMC)?

Issue/Introduction

The collaboration between VMware and BellSoft implies support of Java Mission Control (JMC).

Resolution

VMware's distribution of OpenJDK has moved from AdoptOpenJDK to BellSoft Liberica. Please find details in the blog and release note as follows:

• VMware Tanzu Distribution of OpenJDK

As a result, to get support from JMC, we recommend customers to use Liberica's build of JMC, Liberica Mission Control (LMC).

Is LMC compatible with both Java 8 and Java 11?
 

• LMC 7.1.1 or lower versions works only with JDK 11+.
• BellSoft is backing port support of JDK 8 via LMC 7.1.2 or higher versions. Early Access binaries are available as announced in this blog.
