• gpmt is included as part of the Greenplum installation in Greenplum 6.x.
• The tool has been renamed to gpsupport in Greenplum 7.x

gpmt (Greenplum Magic Tool) provides the following

• A set of diagnostic utilities to troubleshoot and resolve common supportability issues.
• A consistent method for gathering required support information from user systems. 

How to run gpmt/gpsupport

The gpmt/gpsupport utility is available as a part of the Greenplum installation. Refer to the official gpmt/gpsupport documentation.

In case of any issues running gpmt, provide the recent gpmt log files (with verbose logging) /tmp/gamt.<timestamp>.log or /tmp/gpsupport.<timestamp>.log to support.
