GPMT (Greenplum Magic Tool) provides the following
- A rich set of diagnostic utilities which can be used to quickly troubleshoot and resolve common support-ability issues.
- A consistent method for gathering required support information from user systems.
Information gathering is simple and painless, the required diagnostics to complete a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) are available.
Installation
- GPMT is included as part of the Greenplum installation since versions 5.28.0 and 6.16.0.
- Contact Tanzu Support if you need to install GPMT on Greenplum versions prior to versions 5.28.0 and 6.16.0.
How to run GPMT
The GPMT utility is now available as a part of the Tanzu Greenplum product. Refer to the official GPMT documentation.
In case of any issues running GPMT, provide the recent GPMT log files (with verbose logging) /tmp/gp-magic-tool.<timestamp>.log to Tanzu support.
