gpbackup 1.30.2 & 1.30.3 hanging and will not finish

Issue/Introduction

You might be experiencing long running or appears hung while using gpbackup 1.30.0, 1.30.2 and 1.30.3 on GPDB 6.X which leads to the backup failing or being terminated because of the long duration.

Whereas using gpbackup 1.29.2 & 1.29.4 usually observed to be having better performance for backups with no hanging or failures.

Resolution

Use gpbackup 1.29.4 until the maintenance release 1.30.4 is available.
