Issue/Introduction

Queries are failing with this error: ERROR: failed to initialize zstd stream: Allocation error : not enough memory

Environment

Greenplum Database 6.21.x

Resolution

+ This issue tends to coincide with other memory allocation failures in other components.

+ By default, the GPDB doesn't give too much memory and this needs to be adjusted according to the user's workload.

+ In this case, increasing the statement_mem is the ideal solution.
