Issue/Introduction

When configuring email alerts in GPCC with "Allow insecure authentication" enabled, it fails to send mails.
The following error is seen in the webserver.log

Product Version: 6.18

Resolution

This is a bug that is fixed in GPCC 6.6.0 and above.
The fix will allow users to connect to SMTP server with untrusted certificates when “Allow insecure connection” is enabled.
This only works for SMTPS(usually on port 465), it does not support STARTTLS(usually on port 587).
If the SMTP server uses STARTTLS, GPCC must use a trusted certificate.
