Queries with a JOIN are hanging on a Greenplum DB cluster when gp_interconnect_type = proxy

Issue/Introduction

When running queries with a JOIN the Greenplum database can hang and cause other queries to fail.
gpstate reports everything is operating normally.

The Greenplum database is using the gp_interconnect_type=proxy

Environment

Product Version: 6.15

Resolution

Verify that the gp_interconnect_addresses GUC is set correctly.
See Configuring Proxies for the Greenplum Interconnect for details on how it should be set.

If the cluster was expanded, ensure that the IP addresses and ports for the new segments are included in the gp_interconnect_addresses GUC.
