Issue/Introduction
With Greenplum Building Blocks(GBB), you may notice that the root partition uses more space than would be expected and it grows significantly over time.

Cause
Performance Co-Pilot (PCP) is used for monitoring, visualizing, storing, and analyzing system-level performance measurements. It allows the monitoring and management of real-time data, and logging and retrieval of historical data.
The historical data is stored in /var/log/pcp. The amount of data stored in the directory can grow quite large.
Resolution
Check the size of the /var/log/pcp directory: du -skx /var/log/pcp/
PCP is turned on by default when a GBB cluster is installed. It is not required by Greenplum and can be disabled if it is not required.
