Running gpcc start or gpcc start -W fails with the following error:
gpcc start -W Password for GPDB user gpmon: Starting the gpcc agents and webserver... pq: LDAP authentication failed for user "gpmon"
Product Version: 5.28
In this case, the gpmon user was being authenticated against LDAP. So the user pg_hba.conf has this LDAP entry right before the gpmon entries. That is why the gpmon was being authenticated against the LDAP.
host all all LDAPxxxxxxxxx local gpperfmon gpmon md5 host all gpmon 127.0.0.1/28 md5 host all gpmon ::1/128 md5 host all gpmon samenet md5
Move the gpmon entries before the LDAP setting and run gpstop -u to reload the config.
local gpperfmon gpmon md5 host all gpmon 127.0.0.1/28 md5 host all gpmon ::1/128 md5 host all gpmon samenet md5 host all all LDAPxxxxxxxxx
The gpcc start will work fine after this.
