GPDB5 windows client does not support SSL on Tanzu Greenplum

Issue/Introduction

GPDB5 windows client does not support SSL. If we try to run psql with sslmode=require in windows, it would give us the below error:

C:\Users\XXX>psql "sslmode=require host=XXXX.us.XXXX.com user=XXXXX port=6432"
psql: sslmode value "require" invalid when SSL support is not compiled in

Environment

Product Version: 5.26

Resolution

In the GPDB6, we support SSL for windows client and should be fully compatible with GPDB 5. So, if we encountered the above issue in the windows GPDB5's client, we can upgrade to GPDB 6 to get it around. 

If you encounter any issue in the GPDB6's client along with GPDB 5, please log a support ticket with us and we will  follow up and fix it.
