This article covers how to check Greenplum's gpfdist and Informatica Compatibility

Resolution

For Informatica compatibility with gpfdist, we first need to go to the following Informatica page:

• https://docs.informatica.com/data-replication/data-replication/9-8-0-hotfix-2/installation-and-upgrade-guide/installing-data-replication/system-requirements/target-database-versions.html# 

If the Informatica documents say it supports a specific version, such as 5.7.x, it means it would support all versions of 5.x as well.

Greenplum always suggests customers use the latest release of gpfdist. If the Informatica's documents say it supports 5.7.x, we can actually use Greenplum 5.17's gpfdist, which has more bug fixes.

The same rule applies to Greenplum Database (GPDB) 4 and 6 as well.
