pgadmin4 is only supported on GPDB v5+

Issue/Introduction

Attempts to connect to GPDB v4.3.x using pgAdmin4 will fail.

Environment

Product Version: 4.3

Resolution

Currently pgAdmin4 can only connect to GPDB v5.x+.
 
This is due to the underlying version of Postgres that GPDB uses. To use pgAdmin with GPDB v4.3, you will need to use pgAdminIII.

Note: The pgAdmin4 dashboard can generate frequent catalog queries and may impact your database performance.
