Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
While running a minor upgrade within Greenplum Data Base (GPDB) v5.x, gpstart fails with no error message.

Environment

Cause

In this case, the issue is the GPDB for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 (RHEL7) binary file is installed on a RHEL6 host.

Resolution

Install the correct GPDB binary file.
