By default CA DataMinder utilizes LDAP lookups to locate address details for the Compose E-Mail functionality in the CA DataMinder iConsole. In some enterprise deployments involving complex LDAP branch structures the LDAP tree may fail to be traversed fully resulting in some addresses being missed from the address list.
To address this issue an enhancement has been added to Create/Update a DWORD registry key "UseGlobalCatalog" this will be an optional registry key, Setting this to 1 will mean that the iConsole will use Windows Global Catalog to perform LDAP searches.
After FIX:RO76753 (incorporating Web_14.5_HF091.msp) has been deployed a registry hive DWORD key can be employed to set the Windows Global Catalog as the default search mechanism.
