VMware GemFire: How to verify the data across two WAN connected sites

Issue/Introduction
We sometimes find our data out of sync across WAN connected sites for one or more regions. Does any tool exist to help us compare the data across two WAN connected distributed systems in GemFire?

This capability is not currently built into the product. However, there does exist a write-up and a project which will guide you to achieving this capability.

Note: This tool is not officially supported, and as stated, such a feature is not yet incorporated into the product. That said, we do have customers that have used this guide to create and maintain tools that help them to compare the data from 1 WAN site to another to confirm that their regions are in sync on some scheduled basis.
If data is in flight for any regions between the clusters, the data may be out of sync, at least temporarily. It is best used when off peak with minimal activity across the WAN.
