Issue/Introduction

To troubleshoot pulse view related issues.

Pulse is not showing the correct number of members of VMWare GemFire clusters.

Symptoms:
The following are symptoms associated with this issue:

  • Only locators are viewable in the Pulse view. Cache servers are not available in the Pulse view.
  • Not all the members are visible in the Pulse view.

Environment

Product Version: 10.0

Cause

Incompatible libraries of GemFire and other framework (like Spring) in the Classpath

Resolution

Correct Classpath.

Checklist:

  • Check if all the servers are healthy using the gfsh > list members command.
  • Check if the ClassPath has any other version of VMWare GemFire which conflicts with the version that is currently in use.
  • Check if the ClassPath is using incompatible version of the spring jar libraries in the cache server.
  • Check if all the libraries currently in use have compatible version of the framework being used.
