LFS0180E Invalid syntax for element name <element name>

Issue/Introduction

When adding an element from a file through CM Enterprise Workbench (CMEW), you can receive the following error message:
LFS0180E Invalid syntax for element name <element_name>

 

Environment

CM Enterprise Workbench (CMEW)

Resolution

This error is issued when the element name is longer that 255 characters or contains invalid characters.  Only alphanumeric, national (@, #, $) and few special (-._) characters are allowed. Spaces are not allowed.
