How to update Operations Manager authentication configuration through API or om cli

Issue/Introduction

This KB article will explain how an OpsMan authentication configuration can be changed through API or om cli.

Environment

Product Version: 2.10

Resolution

Once you have configured Ops Man authentication for the first time, it's not possible to change it via API or om cli.

If you try to do it, you'll get the following message:

configuration previously completed, skipping configuration

Our R&D team has been notified about this but it hasn't been addressed by the time this article was written.

As a workaround, if you are using Ops Man v2.9+, you can use following endpoint to update the auth config:
