Operations Manager

Issue/Introduction

You are unable to login to Operations Manger (Ops Manager) since the Ubuntu user is locked and it is not accepting the password.

Environment

Product Version: 3.0

Resolution

The Ubuntu account used for ssh Ops Manager VM is still locked after 30 minutes - it could be a VM trying to connect in a loop with wrong ssh key/password.

If you can detect which VM is stuck, which could be caused by some external logging system, stopping the VM should allow you to login again after 30 minutes.

If you can't find the client that is trying to log in with the wrong credentials, follow the procedure below:

1. Export installation.zip from the Ops Manager GUI.

2. Shutdown the Ops Manager VM.

3. Start up a new Ops Manager VM (same version)

4. Import the installation.zip file.

5. After step 4, you need to Apply Changes but just with BOSH Director Tile, there is no need to mark any other tile.
