Issue/Introduction

Getting the diagnostic information from Operations (Ops) Manager can be useful to determine what Operations Manager has installed or staged. It can also be useful for inventory purposes.

This article outlines the collection procedure for getting a diagnostics report out of Operations Manager.

Resolution

1. Go to Ops Manager home page.

2. In the upper right corner of the Ops Manager page, click admin or administrator user name drop down and click Settings.

3. Click Advanced.

4. Click View diagnostic report.

5. Review the json output.

6. Right click and Save As.

7. Save it as a file that identifies the customer ticket number, environment and date.

For example, you can name it as production_2020-04-05.json.
