No out-of-the-box metrics available from Scheduler for PCF to Metric Registrar when upgrading to TAS / PAS 2.5

Issue/Introduction

If customers are using Metrics Forwarder and have registered metrics from Scheduler for PCF, there is no current monitoring out-of-the-box after upgrading to TAS 2.5.x (https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/vmware-tanzu/platform-services/scheduler-for-tanzu/2-0/scheduler-tanzu/architecture.html)

Metrics Forwarder has reached EOL and its replacement, Metric Registrar, currently does not consume any custom metrics from the Scheduler for PCF service.

Resolution

There is no resolution at this time. The metrics emitted from the Scheduler for PCF tile in TAS / PAS 2.4 have been obsoleted and the product team is currently investigating what metrics customers are interested in observing from their Jobs and Calls. Please reach out to your account team to provide any feedback on metrics for this tile that are important to your organization.

Scheduler for PCF is unaffected by the presence or absence of Metrics Forwarder, and there should be no impact or loss of functionality.

The Release Notes for TAS / PAS 2.5 and Scheduler for PCF will contain this breaking change.
