What is the supported upgrade path from EDR server 5.x to 7.x?

Environment

• EDR Server: 5.x
• EDR Unified View: 5.x

Resolution

Warning: There is a known issue in Server 7.4.0 that prevents successful upgrade from Server 6.x versions. Accordingly, do not attempt to upgrade from Server 6.x to 7.4.0. This issue was resolved in Server 7.4.1.

Supported server upgrade path:

• 5.x > 6.x > 7.x

Additional Information

The VMware Carbon Black EDR Team recommends that customers remain on version 6.x for at least 30 days before proceeding with an upgrade to Server 7.x to ensure there is no data loss.
