Issue/Introduction
This article demonstrates how to import a certificate into Google Chrome to suppress the "Your connection is not private" message that's received when visiting a website with an untrusted certificate.
Environment
All Products: All Versions
Google Chrome: All Versions
Resolution
Open the site displaying the message.
Click the "Not secure" message to the left of the URL in the address bar.
When the popup is displayed, click "Certificate."
In the window that opens up, click the "Details" tab.
Click "Copy to File."
You can leave the default and click "Next."
Give the certificate a name, and select a folder you want to save the cert.
Now open Settings in Chrome by clicking the three dots to the right of the address bar and selecting "Settings."
Click Privacy and Security.
Select "Security."
Scroll down and select "Manage Certificates."
Click "Import."
Select "Next" and then find the certificate we saved in Step 5.) using "Browse."
Click "Next."
Click "Browse" and then select "Trusted Root Certificate Authorities," then click "Ok."
