Endpoint Standard: Large files are slow to open over the network

Issue/Introduction

Network slowness is observed when opening or transferring large files (750MB and greater) to/from a network share.

Environment

• Endpoint Standard (was CB Defense)
• Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: 3.6.0.1719 to 3.6.0.1897
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Cause

Code defect with hashing logic

Resolution

This issue is resolved in sensor version 3.6.0.1979. Refer to UAV-1941 in the Release Notes (see Related Content).

Additional Information

There is a similar issue resolved in the same release (3.6.0.1979) in which a large number of smaller sized files are slow to transfer over network shares.
