CB Response Unified View: Cannot start services after upgrading to 6.3.0 due to erlang versions

Issue/Introduction

• Unified View does not start after upgrade to 6.3.0
• Manually starting the service fails

service cb-unifiedview start
Detected an older version 6.1.3.170902.155 of cb-enterprise data schema
Wrong version of Erlang detected, see release notes for more information. Please manually upgrade the Erlang package.

Environment

• CB Response Unified View Server: 6.3.0

Cause

Erlang was not upgraded to the correct version during upgrade

Resolution

 

1. Clean the yum repository

   • sudo yum clean all

2. Update Erlang

   • sudo yum update erlang

3. Start Unified View

   • sudo service cb-unifiedview start

Additional Information

Before 04/18/2019, the erlang version in the unified view repo was incorrect. If running the above steps do not work as of now, contact Technical Support
