Carbon Black Cloud: High CPU usage with Linux sensor 2.13.0

Issue/Introduction

• High CPU usage
• Abnormally large sensor log file sizes in the /var/log/messages files due to millions of entries of the message below: 

  artifactory-qa kernel: event_collector_2_4_890012: Bad file data

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: 2.13.0
• Linux: All Supported Versions
  • Kernel 4.4 and higher

Cause

Product issue - PSCLNX-10188

Resolution

• Upgrade to sensor version 2.13.1
• Endpoints running 2.13.0 that don't exhibit the issue can be left as is, but should be upgraded as soon as 2.13.1 is available to eliminate the possibility of the issue arising.
