Carbon Black Cloud: High Volume of Duplicate Email Notifications

Issue/Introduction

A high volume of duplicate email notifications are receieved from 15-16 October 2020.

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Console: 0.59.0 (October Release)
  • Enterprise EDR (Formerly CB Threathunter)
  • Endpoint Standard (Formerly CB Defense)
  • Audit and Remediation (Formerly CB LiveOps)

Cause

Backend retry logic incorrectly duplicated the Alerts

Resolution

This issue has been investigated via EA-17400 and the root cause has been identified. A hotfix has been applied to the backend. 

Additional Information

• You can safely delete the duplicate emails
• Emails will be received from [email protected]
