App Control Server: Error When Generating Certificate

Issue/Introduction

When Generating a new certificate this error is seen

Common Name provided in certificate does not match Server Address used to make Install packages. Make sure to include Server Address in one of the SAN entries

Environment

• App Control (formerly CB Protection): All Supported Versions

Cause

This can happen if the Common Name doesn't match the Server Address exactly include case

Resolution

This error message can be ignored or the Common Name value can be changed to the same value and case as the Server Address
